Taiwan is surrounded by ocean and has abundant marine resources. The unique environment allows a wide variety of fish, crustaceans, corals, seaweeds, sea turtles, and cetaceans to live around us. It is indeed a "Formosa Taiwan".
It has been 10 years since the United Nation set June 8th as the "World Oceans Day" in 2009. The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Management Office jointly with Taiwan Specimen Artistic Association and the Taiwan Ocean Artistic Museum organized the exhibition "Fishwear - Vibrant Ocean Art". By replicating the marine life with mold-making and art painting, people can appreciate the close-up of the colorful painting of the local and dynamic beauties made by the artists on the different replications. Through installation art and display stages, the multi-colored fish will be dancing in the vast ocean. In addition to the exquisite marine life mold arts, visitors of different nationalities can also see the richness of the Taiwanese artistic culture through the fish paintings that will be published for the first time. Through the precious works of the underwater photographer Ray Chin, one can journey the vast ocean together with the cetaceans.
You are invited to join and experience this passionate marine artistic banquet!
